Hale's book says levofloxacin (Levaquin) is a derivative of ofloxacin and
its kinetics in milk should be identical. Ofloxacin levels in milk are 37%
less than ciprofloxacin. If required ofloxacin and norfloxacin are
probably better choices for BF mothers.

What I do is copy the pertinent pages and the ordering info page in the
back of the book and politely suggest the dr may want his/her very own
copy. New edition comes out at ILCA this month. (Yes, that is a blatant
advertisement! Disclaimer: I have no financial interest in this book. But I
do think everyone needs their own copy :-) Yes I have 2, one for work and
one at home. Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
