Recently, I've had a couple of babies that I have placed skin to skin with mom minutes after delivery and have given baby time to find the breast. After 60 minutes of life I tried to assist the babies to latch onto the breast but was careful not to force the babies and stopped attempting latch-on after 10-15 minutes. No latch was obtained. I feel that the depressed suck reflex was related to the Stadol the moms had received. My question is when should the baby attempt to breastfeed again?
