Exactly what I was thinking and didn't want to get into.  The ONLY thing I
like about the 'study' was that they were using such small amounts.  It
common to tell a mom with a non-latching baby to express some milk to spoon
feed the baby and that small amount in a spoon looks like it can't even be
enough to take the edge off the baby's hunger.  Then when mom is concerned
handed a 2 oz bottle, of course they think NEED to supplement.   Now if we
could just change standard birthing practices so moms have confidence during
and after the birth then we could get rid of supplements!  Or at least have
them be donor milk.
