On the same vein, have you noticed that when baby is not wearing a hat, that 
the family touches baby more, pets baby more, smells baby more?  While we 
are taking off the mittens, maybe we could ditch the hat, as well?

Have you heard/seen those expensive newborn head cooling "hats" for 
oxygen-deprived babies???  Maybe normal newborns heads/brains are supposed 
to cool off a bit after the big squeeze?  I would love to hear your thoughts 
on hats.
