Ann's post several days ago regarding lactation amenorrhea described
perfectly what I'm presently experiencing myself.  After the holidays I
experienced (to my dismay) my first period. My exclusively breastfed
daughter was only 13 weeks old. I have not had a period since.....I'm on day
48 or so.

I  find this fascinating. What was going on during the holidays? I was
getting ready for Christmas which is a month long effort. I was extremely
busy, leaving Isabel with her Daddy to run errands... no long afternoon
nursing sessions. In addition, I pump and give my milk to a friend who
adopted a baby, I usually scheduled that into my day but being busy
sometimes didn't do it.

Since the holidays, I have lazy nursing sessions (sometimes hours) with
Isabel and I'm pumping regularly. Not only am I more rested but I'm period
free!
