This should help IBCLCs who are pump dealers to keep their business going. Some are seeing their pump business decline as clients look for the FREE pumps promised by the ACA.

When clients need something more effective than the FREE manual pump or the FREE First Years, many have to pay a copay to get a better pump. So when their needs go beyond FREE, it's good news that the expense is deductible.

Hope that applies to rental expenses as well as purchase expenses for mom.

Hi all,

Did you know that breastpumps are deductible on Schedule A of your
2012 tax return?
They are specifically listed as a deductible medical expense (in the
2012 IRS Publication 17 page 146 for those interested).
Finally!
