Hi:

I've read Lactnet on & off for about 18 months. We have 4 kids, all bf over
18 months, including twins & I work outside the home FT. We also operate a
small Medela rental/sales business.

About the 6m blood in the stool comment. -- Could it be watermelon?

The favorite "baby story" our twins love me to recount is the day I called
the peds clinic in a panic because I saw blood in Jacquelyn's stool. Set up
an appointment, then Julie had the same thing. As experienced parents we
should have known better, but, . . . Then, I suddenly remember taking the
family out for Sunday brunch the day before and letting the twins suck up
watermelon. (All over their faces and clothes. Obviously some got inside.)
I think they were about 6-8 months at the time because we let them self-feed
solids very gradually. In short, this "lay person" suggests that Mom
recount the baby's diet before messing with the best stuff!
