mum recently diagnosed with aspergillosis and is quite sick, partially collapsed lung and atelactesis-improving and now at home. Baby 8 months old, exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months, solids introduced 7 weeks ago. Doctor refuses to start antifungal until breastfeeding stops. baby wil not take formula and mum is very unhappy. Had one episode mastitis week 5. Any thoughts about feeding and antifungals? I can't immediately think of any issues. Abrupt weaning, I feel, is a hazard for both the mum and baby. Also feel pretty disgusted at doctors stance-blackmail comes to mind!
