I am seeing a mom this week with a baby diagnosed with hypotonia. He is
developmentally delayed and is working with a physical therapist. Mom has been
breastfeeding, but is suddenly feeling like her milk supply is dwindling.
Baby is 4 months old. I have never seen her previously, and in fact when I see
her there may be nothing wrong with milk transfer and mother may just be
nervous due to the trip for therapy, the stress of being away from home, etc.
BUT, in case there is an issue at this late age...Is there anything special I
should know/do/look for, etc. for this baby? I hate to assume the zebra, but
since it is already not exactly a horse....Thought I would get some thoughts
....

Thanks,
Pam MazzellaDiBosco, IBCLC, RLC
