I have a new mom in my group who is still nursing a 12 month old and is
almost 4 1/2 months pregnant.  She is worried because her milk supply has
dropped dramatically (as evidenced in her son's diaper output...just about 2
wet diapers a day).  The child is eating table food, but has no desire to
stop nursing.

This mom does not want to give up nursing her son and was asking about
supplement feeding (via an SNS) using a mixture of Almond Milk and water
(1/2 and 1/2).  She does not want to give her son formula.

I've never heard of this before and I'm not sure what to tell her.  What
would be a good substitute for supplement feeding?
