As one of the moms who planned a "trip to Italy" and end up in "Holland" -
I can speak from personal experience......and I will never stop wishing
that I could reverse time, and re-plan the trip. My 15 year old son is
mentally and physically impaired, autistic, non-verbal and has facial
paralysis so he cannot smile! He is now living in a group home because I
am no longer able to care for him.
I cannot tell you how painful this is - living with the desire for a
healthy child every day and mising him so much.
But, even more - I grieve for the person he could have been - I do not know
how much he knows or understands but I know there is a part of him in there
that knows what he is missing!
I love him - but I will never accept the loss......
Sorry to take up the space with a non-breast feeding issue - and thanks for
listening...
