Hi!

Thank you to the CPQCC team for this tool kit, great, accurate, useful
information.

I confess, though, that I am in shock over the images... I keep hoping
there is some error in the download, and images are missing from the
document I have in my computer... The beautiful photos are of VLBW babies
that are alone, or being bottlefed (by a gloved hand), or with a pacifier.
I see no skin to skin or kangaroo care, I see no breastfeeding, even though
both of these interventions are said to be best pratice in the guide.
On page 89, it says " Breastfeeding appears less stressful than
bottle-feeding based on heart rate, breathing and oxygenation" and right
underneath is a picture of a baby being bottlefed - and not looking very
happy nor relaxed. Why this picture???
Images are so powerful!! I think a good toolkint like this, that so many
professionals will see, needs to show images of babies in their ideal place
of care (their mother´s bodies) and at the breast, wether for comfort and
nun-nutritive sucking, or actual breastfeeding. Not images of bottles and
pacifiers :(

Hope no one takes offence at this post, I was just so saddened I couldn´t
keep quiet.

Kika
