Yes! That is so cool and many MOM have similar stories. That kind of
persistence is amazing, and these are the times when I am so grateful for
those double-edged swords called hospital-grade electric pumps. When one
keeps the milk moving, it leaves the door (or bra flap) open and anything can
happen!

BTW, I've also seen similar situations in which a MOM was not producing
enough for one, much less two or three (daily volume 500 ml or less in spite
of appropriate BF and/or pumping management). Several MOT/MOM have now
reported sudden increases in milk production at some point between 9 - 15
weeks postpartum. I think it was Barbara W-C who likened continued pumping in
the face of poor yields to priming a water pump -- stop and you definitely
won't get anything; keep pumping that handle and water may suddenly gush from
the spicket.

Karen -- who is often amazed and humbled by the stories from MOT/MOM who hang
in there after unbelievably awful breastfeeding starts
