What fun to get all the feedback from my posting!
Maureen, I'm familiar with Mavis Gunther from what's in your book, and I
believe very, very early in my breastfeeding helper career, had a copy of her
book, and pitched it because it was so 'out of date'. Cringe! I know, I
know, I'm wiser now. But appreciate your wonderful information.

You know, I've been thinking (no wise cracks, please!), that I hadn't heard
this 10 minute jazz for a few years, and suddenly it's popping up again. I
haven't read it in anything but the new Bonding book, and place's like the
Ezzo material. I think I said that there was no reference listed for that
specific bit of info in Bonding. I plan to write Dr. Klaus and ask what
reference he's using, and my concern about it, but it would be interesting if
we could get those who are currently using this bit of info to back it up
with references, so we will know where it's coming from.

Kathy Dettwyler, (BTW, a belated Happy Birthday, we are all go glad you were
born!) I understand how sometimes buttons get pushed accidentally. Let me
clarify that I was attempting to differentiate between pharmaceuticals
intended for human use versus veterinary use. And even that could punch some
folks buttons, because some human pharmaceuticals are used in veterinary
medicine, but the point was, obviously to educate mothers that Bag B___ is
designed for veterinary use, and even the manufacturer does not recommend it
for human topical use, much less internal consumption as could occur in a
breastfeeding situation.
