Subject: HELP - LARGE PERSISTENT CRACK 3 WEEKS POSTPARTUM

<I have a client who is 3 weeks postpartum, baby (her fourth) is =
generally latching well and gaining great (although mom reports some =
feedings are better than others) and mom is not sore at feedings. She =
has had a large persistent crack around half of the circumference of her =
nipple since day 5. >
Could it be dermatitis? Does she have eczema / dermatitis elsewhere or in
the past?

Yes, Lisa, she does have a history of eczema, but the thing about this crack is that it isn't particularly sore and not at all itchy. She has been doing saline soaks.
