I looked back at my now twenty-five year old exclusively breastfed twins'
baby books to see what their weights were at 3 months.

Karen(Twin A) Birth 6 pounds, 15 oz, 20 inches.
3 months: 12 pounds, 8 oz, 23.5 inches

David(Twin B) Birth 7 pounds, 14 oz, 21 inches
3 months: 14 pounds, 1 oz (no length recorded)

A month later, they were 13 pounds, 13 oz, 24.5 inches, and 16 pounds, 4 oz,
26.5 inches, respectively.

Interestingly enough, they both lost a lot of weight during our hospital
stay of 10 days, while I recovered from C/S (No DRG's then). Discharge weights
were 6-9, and 7-1.5.

They were thumb suckers from 3 months on.

They did not start complementary food until 6 months, when they started
waking up at night again after a 3 month period of sleeping from about 8 PM to 6
or 7 AM.

I was only praised for their excellent growth, never told their gains were
excessive. It seems like mothers who breastfeed just can't win nowadays!
