As an LLLL I do alot of telephone counseling with women I never meet.  My
co-leader and I mail a pamphlet or information sheet or letter to each
person who calls.  We both have started warm-fuzzy files where any
correspondence we receive back is kept.  This Christmas I received two
cards from moms thanking me for helping them when they needed it.  I
never knew if I helped them or not and this made a big impression on me.
 When I think about leaving this field I can pull out that file and read
the thank you notes and look at the photos of babies I've helped over the
phone and it reaffirms me.
