I was reading a story (written by Theresa Walker for _The Orange County
Register_) about the AAP's recommendations on TV-viewing, and I noticed this
after the recommendations were described:

"But the Academy of Pediatrics isn't stopping there.

"It is distributing questionnaires for pediatricians to include as part of
routine visits. ... Using the completed forms as guides, pediatricians are
expected to advise and counsel parents about television and other media,
just as they do about health issues."

Why wasn't something like this done when the 12/97 breastfeeding
recommendations were issued? How is it that they can afford this, but no
breastfeeding-related printed materials that pediatricians could use instead
of the "educational" materials produced by the formula companies?
