Sorry to those who have heard this from me already. I thought I'd mention it
again just in case some of the recent lactnetters haven't heard it.

A Dr Frankland in London (UK) says that he has seen peanut allergies in children
which were triggered by peanut oil in infant formula, in breast creams ( in
particular one containing camomile), and in other creams used for babies'
bottoms (diaper areas to you!). Peanut allergies have risen dramatically, I
believe, in the UK in recent years.

Peanut oil can also be called arachis oil, and appears so in some creams. The
camomile cream does not list it at all. It seems to me that it would be easy to
expose a baby to peanut oil unwittingly.

Indeed peanut butter does not appear to be so popular in the UK. I find it
pretty awful - and none of my kids like it. But probably you all don't like
haggis.....
