Melissa B. told the tale of the nurses in her hospital who plan to sit for the
exam next year, despite their lack of information or enthusiasm for the field. I
just wanted to point out that being eligible to SIT for the exam does not mean
they are eligible to PASS the exam. They have to earn those initials!

The exam is very much oriented towards "here are the circumstances, what would
you do?" I think (and hope) that these nurses would not be able to pass, even if
they spend a long time studying the books. It is one of the beauties of the
exam, IMHO.

Perhaps the best thing that could happen is for these nurses to take the exam
and fail miserably....
