From my small understanding of IV fluid these can also affect heart
and lung function. Too much fluid overloads the entire
system. While we consider mainly the breasts, the fluid also puts
added strain on the heart and lungs which may cause further complications.

I am not a midwife or nurse, so I can only go by what I have learnt
from my reading and discussions with health professionals when family
members have had to undergo operations.

Shouldn't this aspect also be discussed with the doctors?
