Late to the discussion, but I had very similar symptoms a few years
ago when I was nursing my 5Th child.
It was found by my midwife at 10 weeks postpartum (I was a bit late
for my check up). Since I have a strong family history of breast
cancer and have additional environmental liability Chernobyl) we took
it very seriously.
The first thing she scheduled was a sonogram, a lot invasive than biopsy.
The sono showed clearly a plugged duct. I never had one before. And it
did not heart. And I knew the answer right avay. This too was
important.
All the best.
