With all due respect, did the mother ask the nurse to document this nonsense?

Herpes does not "turn into" another form of herpes. However, lesions can be
transmitted to other areas of the body through direct contact. If she
touches a lesion on her breast or in the baby's mouth, then goes to the
bathroom, it is possible to spread what would then be Herpes Simplex I to the
genital area. Weaning would not prevent such an occurance, though care and
good hygiene would.

What would the nurse be trying to prevent with weaning? Mom & baby are
already sharing it. I've worked with these and the biggest issue after they
share it is pain management.
