To Liz Brooks and LACTNET family,
Hello to all. I am usually only a reader but today I feel compeelled to respond. I attended the VELB conference in Vienna as well. Wow! Lots of good information, learning and networking, as always is the case at these conferences. I wanted to tell Liz: I attended your presentation in Vienna (and also at other conferences). You always give us good info regarding ethics. Thank you.  I also attended the workshop for Infant Feeding in Emergencies facilitated by the wonderful Elizabeth Hormann. This was an informative and fascinating presentation. Rebecca Norton (a nutritionist, working in Geneva and an awesome human being - please forgive me if I do not properly reference her here) presented some powerful information regarding over (by incredibly HUGE amounts) and inappropriate contributions of formula during emergency events (i.e. natural disasters, war, etc). I am ashamed that I do not recall directly the Georgian Pediatrician's name. Her presentation was
very interesting. I was surprised how, in little time, what she was able to accomplish (with others led by her motivation) during her country's current situation.  I was humbled by many presentations at this conference. I learned that globally, we are a wonderful group of human beings who are committed to the promotion, protection and support of breastfeeding mothers, children and families. I am proud to be an IBCLC (and a member of ILCA).
