Excuse me - old nurses??!!  How about old mothers ??? I remember getting my 
daughter all wrapped up like a bun in a blanket at 24 hours  to breastfeed. 
NPO 12 hours, then first feedings were glucose water times 2 so we were sure 
she could swallow :-b
