<<I know there are some people who are uneducable, but there
are many who do a poor job of supporting bfg because they just don't know how
to do it better.  We can't give up on teaching our colleagues, and you can't
teach people you hold in contempt.  They recognize the contempt and reject
your information.  So it is very difficult to suspend the judgement that
these people are not doing right and to help them to do it better.>>

Barbara, once again, you have spoken with so much wisdom.  Would we hold this
same contempt for a person who was never taught to read? Or, would we look
to those who fail to teach this person to read to hold accountable. Our
society as a hold has failed to recognize the human breast as a functional
organ. If our society did not feel teaching read was important in our
schools, many, many more would be unable to read. We can't expect for
medical professionals to do a better job at helping with breastfeeding if
they were never taught breastfeeding management or much knowledge at all to
the human breast as a functional organ. The blame is on our whole society,
not anyone group of persons. To make a social change possible, we must
educate and inform without contempt. We can change attitudes if like Barbara
says, we "don't mourn, organize" and continue to educate and share
information with respect for the person.
