I have seen frequent accessory breast tissue and also suprenumary
(sp?) nipples, but recently I was my first mom with both together on
one side. She reported being paniced with her first when what she
thought was a swollen lymph gland started dripping white stuff! Her
doctor, fortunately, was knowledgable enough to recognize it for
what it was. I generally tell moms with extra breast tissue (with
or without nipples) that that area will dry up with non-use just as
a non-nursing mom's breasts will dry up with non use in time.
Meanwhile, she can treat it with cold, cabbage, appropriate
anangesics. The biggest challenge is that it may be nearly
impossible to find a comfortable bra that doesn't bother the "spare"
breast while still giving her the support she wants expecially
during the full days of lactogenesis. Given time, this extra breast
will involute.

Sorry if this has already been stated-I'm trying to catch up on all
the digests I missed during the ILCA Conference. If I wait 'til
I've read them all, I'll forget what I wanted to comment on.
