Please Note Dr. Hale:

I have a young friend with a 19 mos old nursling who has severe tendonitis
with much pain. I've looked for Depo_Medrol in Hale's, Lawrence and R&A, and
unless I'm missing something, they only refer to oral steroids and she'd
prefer the injection. (Lawrence does say under"Cortisone"-"Probably ok ...if
used as a one time shot in a joint."

My question: is Depo-Medrol, injected locally, compatible with a nursing
toddler? Is this preferable to oral steroids? I noted in Hale's several
NSAID's that are compatible and have passed on this info. TIA for info.
Tom, would really appreciate your input, if possible as her orthopedist says
he doesn't care what her LC says, and basically has refused to give her
anything. She's finding someone else to help her.
