Hello all....Several friends have been riding me for some time to get on the
Lactnet. The only things stopping me are that I hate computers and have a
hard time understanding what I'm doing and I'm terrified of the time
involved, as I know I'll be fascinated with all of your posts. I'm currently
studying for Calif's Marriage Family & Child Counselor licensing exams,
plus.....

Let's see...I have 3 kids, all breastfed (with great difficulty) and a
fabulous granddaughter, who is now a beautiful breastfeeding toddler. Due to
my problems, I found LLL early on (20 years ago), to whom I feel I owe much
of my life. I've been a Leader for 15 years and an Assist. Area Professional
Liaison (So. CA) for 8. I've been IBCLC since 1985--developed & implemented
in-house LC program at a hospital in another state and now dabble in private
practice. I've been a Certified Childbirth Ed. for 17 years and teach for
our local hospital (mostly just breastfeeding classes now). My BA is in
psych. & I have an MA in Clinical Psych. I'm Exec. Direc. of Central Coast
Pregnancy Center, doing mostly counseling & teaching of women (& girls) in
difficult pregnancies. My hasband of 23 years pastors a church. In our
spare time we sleep.

I'm not sure what all I'm supposed to say here except that I'm looking
forward to learning from all of you. --Nancy Williams
