Morning all,

My weekend observing prevalent styles of detached parenting gave me pause
for thought about how families choose to parent and feed their babies.

Listened this morning to a Radio National (Australia) interview with a risk
and decision research lab (Skunkworks at Michigan State University) talking
about informed consent and the studies being conducted to improve the
strategies hospitals and physicians use to discuss the risks and benefits of
health interventions with patients.

I think this research can be quite pertinent to developing a deeper
understanding of how families choose to feed and care for their babies, and
improving our own techniques when presenting information to assist families
to make informed decisions.

Here is a link to an interesting research paper on decision making.

It is not directly related to infant feeding but I found the points quite
thought-provoking.
