Katherine and others write about their small successes with regard to the Newborn
Network. I just wanted to share another little success. Last year my child's
preschool did a big chocolate fundraiser with a certain company that makes
formula, chocolate, frozen foods, juice boxes and lots and lots of other things.
This was the ONLY fundraiser throughout the whole year where the grand prize for
raising the most money was a 10% break on tuition for the following year. The
fundraiser had been done for years before I got there. I wrote to the director of
the school and told her why I could not support the fundraiser, complete with
documentation from INFACT and IBFAN supporting my objections. I have just learned
that the director told the chocolate rep that my daughter's preschool is not
interested in repeating the fundraiser this year, or ever, for that matter!
Yippee!
