I called Playtex and asked that they supply new collection bottles and
caps as well (the things in the A and C bags) for subsequent moms too. I
don't have a problem reusing the motor for the testing, since it's a
closed system and seems easy enough to clean, but the bags could be
impossible to clean properly.
The first mom in my practice who tried it did like the comfort, but a
client who purchased it before the trial started is having sore nipples,
but she was using it to maintain her milk supply with a non-latching
baby. It was more comfortable for her when we tweaked the settings, but
not perfect. (Why do moms seem to think they have to use the maximum
settings?) The "hospital grade" claim made her think it was the best
pump for her situation. Sigh.
