Rob writes he's read ' that breast milk will have antibodies to antigens
that have contacted mom's breast.'

Not just her breast, Rob, but if she comes into contact with any infectious
agent via her food or if she breathes it in, she'll make antibodies that
transfer to the breast milk. There are references for this in Minchin's
Breastfeeding Matters, in Riordan and Auerbach, and I think, in Jelliffe
and Jellife. This happens almost immediately, according to Professor
Forrester Cockburn from Edinburgh (he's the LCPs man of bf) , in answer to
a question, who gave a talk in Edinburgh as part of a bf conference last
Friday - when 'le tout' Scottish breastfeeding showed for a successful day.

Amazing process, breastfeeding....
