Hello everyone,
Thanks to Kathy, Jack and Pat for responding re valproic acid - the
mother is delighted.
I have complained before about the doctor that has an epidemic of
"Lactose intolerance" - it would seem that the "over-diagnosis" of lactose
intolerance is beginning to backfire on him. Mothers have phoned
complaining that all babies seem to have the same ailment and they are tired
of it and doctors are sending babies for a second opinion. Just goes show!
I have believed for a long time that "a" product has been promoted in an
unethical manner ie the clinic nurses changing from breast to this product
for "lactose intolerance". In the Lancet there was correspondence
pertaining to the same "Unethical promotion of lactose-free formula" -
unfortunately I do not have access to it. (Lancet, Volume 353. Number
9171. 26th June, 1999) Perhaps some of you do have access to it - I for
one would be very interested in what has been written.
Sincerely,
Barbie Currie RN RM. White River, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
Its freezing here!!!
