I had this problem at times myself when I was particularly frazzled during my
part time job at the time. On top of that, I had a hassle with my baby only
wanting one side--no matter what I did, it seemed to shrink more and more, so
I was using only one for everything. Nonetheless, I only had to pump once a
day 5/7days/week. The baby did fine. What I did to get extra milk was two
things: I used to use the breast shells to collect milk--I'd put the shell
in one side as I sat down to nurse on the other side. I'd regularly get
15cc(1/2oz) just from passive leakage. The second thing was to pump a tad
after each feed. I'd get another 15cc in a minute or two. This way, I'd
collect a 4oz bottle in no time with no effort to speak of.
