At my hospital we don't have a protocol for co-sleeping, we just allow and
encourage it, with reasonable precautions (e.g., rails up, mom not too
drugged).
Speaking of protocols, does anyone have a hospital protocol on use of nipple
shields? I have plenty of material from JHL articles, etc., but would like
to see what others have done as far as actual protocols. Please e-mail me
privately. Miriam Levitt RN, IBCLC, Berkeley, CA
