About the only way to impress on hospitals the importance of getting an LC
who does know what she is doing is for them to hear from dissatisfied
customers who got help elsewhere and are willing to say they will NOT refer
mothers to the hospital. In other words, money talks.

I encourage the mothers I see who have had difficult experiences with
hospital-based LCs to inform the hospital of the difference bertwen the
care they got and the care that worked. If they have good experiences in
the hospital, that also needs to be shared with the powers that be.
