Carla, I believe the most important thing to get across to any group of
parents and family preparing to  feed, nurture and parent a baby  and
support another in doing so is to tell them of the effects continuous
uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact (ssc) can have to help the baby
orientate, coordinate, attach correctly and feed effectively and can help
both mother and baby synchronise as the start out. Starting out with ssc
reduces the anxiety of getting techniques  precise because the baby can do
it if given the chance.
