This reminds me of a client years ago who was sliding into pumping for bottles.  At her house yet again one day, I asked her if she thought her baby (in a crib in her home office) might want to nurse.  She *swung* in her office chair - almost a lunge - to look at... the clock.  "No, don't look at the clock, look at the baby," I blurted.  She "pumped successfully" for more than 6 months.  Sigh.
