Speaking of good books to read - I'm almost finished "In Defense of Food" by
Michael Polan. It is a fascinating critique of "western" diets, the food
industry and "nutrition". Basically he says we cannot divide foods into it's
component parts and push the parts. FYI did you know that an apple in 1940
had more nutrients than an apple today? He mentions formula only twice, but
you learn from the whole book that it is unacceptable food for babies. He
says if anything has a health claim on it or more than 5 ingredients, pass
it up! Pat in SNJ
