About 25 years ago, when my former college roommate became pregnant in Florida and had a very American expectation of birth, I told my husband, "She'll have a cesarean and will try to breastfeed, but it just won't work out."  Sure enough.  Interestingly, her daughter spent many months using a rental nebulizer for asthma.  It occurred to me that my roommate had essentially been made to rent a nebulizer instead of a breast pump.
