Has anyone encountered this and is able to offer suggestions or ideas for
how to help his poor little girl?

Julie, My much younger sister had this same experience. My mother was finally
able to stop the infections when she stopped letting my sister sit in a bath.
We would either give her a "Baby shower" with the kitchen sink sprayer, or
wash her quickly under the running tap.
We never did determine if it was the water pH, softness, hardness, or the
soap....

Does she use bubble bath or baby soaps containing lotion?
