On Thursday, I noticed an article in the news titled "Images Show a Snub Is
Really Like a Kick in the Gut".  You can read it here:

This seems to reinforce the idea that being non-responsive to an infant can
cause the baby physical pain.  I've tried to find an abstract of the article
but didn't get very far.  Nor did this information receive more than passing
attention in the news.

One more example of what James McKenna calls "science trying to prove the
obvious."
