The best thing for a baby of a mom with chicken pox would be to receive her
breastmilk.  The baby would have already been exposed to the varicella virus
in utero.  The mother's breastmilk would contain the antibodies to the virus
and would help prevent a severe case of varicella in the infant.  The infant
can also be given varicella immune globulin IV.
