I've wondered that, too, Pat, and it has crossed my mind that the 
generous milk supplies some mothers have, when they are overwhelmed 
with milk,  may be the result of them having lost a twin in v. early 
pg and not been aware of  it (which is apparently not all that 
uncommon).

I have never said this to mothers, of course, as it is a mere fancy 
on my part :)
