I just stumbled across this very interesting article:

It states in part:

'The researchers add that low intelligence and attention deficit 
hyperactivity disorder are associated with short duration of breast-
feeding, and may increase the risk of alcoholism.

They also note that breast milk contains long-chain polyunsaturated fatty 
acids and that a decrease could affect brain development.'

I have always thought that there was a connection to babies not being fed 
human milk and ADD, but this is the first time that I have ever read of a 
study that suggests this link. Has anyone a clue as to where this study 
can be found? I have searched on PubMed and have not found it. 

Though, I did find this gem(yeah): 

The Importance of functional ingredients in pediatric milk formulas and 
cereals.

The last part reads:

'In the future years, thanks to a better understanding of maternal milk 
composition and to the performance of further studies, it will be possible 
to add new ingredients that will allow to obtain pediatric milk formulas 
more and more similar to maternal milk from a nutritional and functional 
point of view.'
