I have to wonder how much the stress of the mother's interaction with
the threatening and confrontational medical staff influenced the baby's
positon. I especially wonder how much laboring in the parking lot
influenced the position, since standing, squatting and hands and knees
are the best positions for breech labor. I cannot imagine laboring in a
parking lot! There is a lot of discussion in the midwifery and prenatal
psychology literature about the emotional aspects of fetal positioning.
