I have to weigh in with this thread--laughing all the way.

Point #1: I file about as often as I do windows (not!)

Point #2: I decided several years ago that I NEEDED to file and simply
couldn't get to it, so I hired someone. FIrst two people were high school
teens who could be had for few dollars per hour. Turned out I was able to
serve as a resource for papers they were writing in Psychology or Sociology
or Anthropology classes they were taking on, guess what? Infant
feeding/breastfeeding! :-)

Point #3: When I moved to my current place, I hired a LLL leader who put
her qualifications this way:
she qualifies as a filer for an LC because....
a) she has a BS in Biology
b) more to the point, she can count past 20
c) she knows the alphabet backwards and forwards
d) she can actually pronounce virtually all of the multi-syllabic words
that show up on the articles I have that need filing or the other things
that are produced from my fax machine, printer, etc.

AND, the really neat thing. We get to chat about things lactational from
her perspective (LLL leader and mother) and mine (LC). Plus we plan things
like, when I can come over to pick apples to make apple butter from, when
she can get roses from my garden, etc. We don't meet weekly, but I call
her on an as-needed basis. Depending on deadlines, that can be more or
less frequently.

THe especially nice thing is we support one another AND I get things filed,
which she does not mind doing at all! Different strokes for different
folks.

PS I do pay her as well....
