Dear Cindy,

Haberman feeders can be used for a variety of problems.  I find it very
useful for premies learning to breastfeed.  The Haberman valve and
specialized nipple hole regulate the flow.  Therefore you can tease an
premie out of non-nutritive suck (NNS) into nutritive suck (NS).  I have
had excellent success.

It can be used on any young baby when for one reason or another the
mother is about to give up on BF.  She pumps and feeds with the Haberman
on Zero flow.  When mom recovers the baby goes easily back to the breast.
