Hi,

My name is Dorothy Rae Collier. I've been faithfully reading and learning from
Lactnet since mid January and am finally introducing myself. A couple times
I've been tempted to contribute to topics but was rather intimidated. I have
decided that although I lack formal medical or breastfeeding education, perhaps
there will be times when I can share information from my personal experience or
self educationwhich may be of use to others. I have a B.A. in Liberal Studies
(major: legal and ethical philosophy; minor: physical education). I spent nine
years as an elementary school teacher/US Masters swimmer before having my own
children and becoming an at-home mom. I'm married to Steve and have two
children, Aimee who is three and a half (bf 34 months) and Jenny who is thirteen
months (still bf, just began a few solids at eleven months). I'm an LLL member,
working towards becoming an accredited leader. My local leader is an IBCLC who
shares generously her wealth of info and resources with me.

Today I just wanted to share a couple funnies our local paper carries.

Farcus: The farmer is hand milking his cow and says to the cow, "On high tech
farms, they call this downloading."

Bizarro: The farmer is milking the cow, and the COW says to the farmer, "At
your age, shouldn't you be thinking of weening (sic) yourself away from this and
onto solid food?"

Enjoy. Keep sharing all the really great info.
